COVID-19: Our Key Priorities
To our employees, customers, suppliers and other key partners:
We are indeed in unprecedented times. Stanley Black & Decker is committed to keeping you informed about how we’re approaching and navigating the global impact of the COVID-19 virus. Our key objectives are keeping our employees and their families safe, ensuring our business is fully operational to serve customers and doing our part as a corporate citizen to contain the spread of the virus.
Our President & CEO Jim Loree, who is part of the Coronavirus CEO Task Force of the Business Roundtable, has said:
“We will maintain our focus on these three priorities – the most important one being keeping our employees and their families safe – and have provided significant guidance to our leaders and employees in this regard. While individuals, political parties and governments may have their differences, now is the time for the world to come together and do whatever we can to address this global pandemic.”
Our executive leadership team continues to monitor the situation daily to mitigate the coronavirus’ impact to our supply chain. We are working closely with our manufacturing and supply teams to minimize the customer impact as much as possible, while maintaining our focus to keep our employees safe.
As the coronavirus spreads to additional countries, we continue to follow the advice of the relevant global and national health authorities to do our part to contain the spread. When appropriate, we are instructing employees to work from home. For those working at our operating sites, we’ve put in additional measures to keep employees safe, in line with all local regulatory and other requirements.
